Under 'Instructor > Profile Settings' there are four items:
  1. Personal trainer
  2. Insurance
  3. Qualification
  4. Document
These should also be added to Members > Profile Settings, in the same place as for instructors.
The reason for this is are explained below:
  1. Personal trainers: many members, after years of training, become personal trainers themselves too, while still being members. So it would be good to have their personal training certification on there just like for instructors.
2a. Insurance: in many sports schools, students too have to get insurance for personal injury. This is to protect the sport school in the case the student gets injured - this prevents members from suing the sports school, and the insurance will cover them in case of injury or them getting hurt.
2b. Insurance: for insurance, I would also add a 'Expiry Date' field so that instructors and members have to put the expiry date of their insurance. This should then be used to alert the owner/admin when the insurance of some students are about to expire - for example the admin could select in settings to alert him/her 4 weeks prior to any student insurance expiring so that they can then ensure those students renew their insurance. This is critical to sports school owners because if students are not insured and they get injured, the school can be legally held responsible which could have very adverse effects.
In addition to alerting the owners of the expiry dates, the members/students themselves should get a reminder too to tell them they need to renew their insurance ASAP to avoid membership being paused.
2c. If insurance of an instructor or member has expired and they do not renew it within a certain time, their membership should automatically be PAUSED and an alert should be sent to both the instructor/member as well as the owner/admin to notify them.
2d. Owners/admins should easily be able to go to Members & Instructor section in admin and be able to filter out all instructors or all members whose insurance has expired; select those members; and manually send a message to them to ask them to renew their membership please. This is in addition to the automated alerts being sent out prior to insurance expiring.
  1. Qualification: this is particularly important for sports schools where members get graded. For example, in martial arts, there are 'belts', and in other sports there are different types of 'ranks' that students get depending on their experiences and years of practicing that sport. This will allow members to upload their qualification on their profile.
  2. Document: this would be used for any other documentation that the student has that they would need to upload that don't fall under insurance or qualification.
